Waxing

SOFTER, SUPPLER SKIN

Waxing leaves the skin feeling soft, supple and rejuvenated by exfoliating and removing dead skin cells.

FINER, SOFTER HAIR

Every session results in finer, thinner, and softer hair growth as opposed to the coarse, thick strands that other options bring.

SILKY, SMOOTH SKIN

Waxing removes hair from the root, which allows for longer-lasting silky smoothness.

WHAT IS BRAZILIAN WAX?

Brazilian waxing typically involves complete hair removal from the anus and perineum as well as the entire female genital region. However, there is an option to leave a thin hairline, roughly two to three fingers broad above the vaginal area.

DOES WAXING HURT?

Yes, waxing hurts, but the majority of women find it manageable.

The week before and after your menstruation is best avoided because your skin is more sensitive. The optimal time to wax is in the middle of your cycle, immediately before you ovulate. Maintaining a regular waxing schedule will make it simpler and less uncomfortable. Although it’s not really essential, some first-time clients do take painkillers.

Additionally, stay away from caffeine and alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your waxing appointment as they are stimulants that increase blood flow and make your skin more sensitive.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOFT AND HARD WAX?

Soft Wax – Waxing spatulas or rollers are used to apply soft wax in a thin layer, and waxing cloths or muslin strips are used to remove it. Traditional soft wax is typically used on body parts like the legs and arms, depending on the area being waxed.

Hard Wax – With a waxing spatula, hard wax is applied warmly and has a thicker consistency. Without the aid of a strip, the wax solidifies and is eliminated. Hard wax is frequently the superior option when waxing a very sensitive area, such as the vagina for a Brazilian. Hard wax minimises discomfort and lowers the potential for skin irritation and tugging by sticking to the hair only, not the skin. Hard wax can also “catch” shorter and coarser hair, therefore avoiding the need to wax the same region again.

HOW LONG WILL MY WAX LAST?

The growth of hair varies and depends on the rate of individual hair growth. The average hair-free time would be for at least 1.5 to 2 weeks. It is advisable to wax every 4-6 weeks for best results.

HOW LONG WILL I STAY RED?

Depending on each person’s skin sensitivity, the skin may remain red for 1 to 24 hours. The wax we use further improves the softness on the skin. Consequently, customers feel less redness or irritation. To speed up the healing process, we strongly recommend using our product, “Tea Tree Lotion.”

HOW TO PREVENT INGROWN HAIR?

To prevent ingrown hair, exfoliation is recommended. Exfoliating helps to gently remove the dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hair. Exfoliation can be done once a week. However, it is advised to go for exfoliation only after 48 hours of your waxing session.

We strongly advise using our ingrown spray to prevent ingrown hair and bumps. This product is recommended as it gentler than exfoliating. It is advised to use our ingrown spray daily to get the best result.

DOES A BRAZILIAN WAX ITCH WHEN THE HAIR GROWS BACK?

Waxing, unlike shaving, does not leave skin itchy since hair is pulled out from the roots, resulting in much finer regeneration at the hair’s tip. Customers with drier skin types can feel a little irritation, but it will go away with mild exfoliation and use of moisturiser.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A BRAZILIAN WAX OVER SHAVING?

Compared to shaving, the effects of waxing will endure longer. Shaving removes hair from the skin’s surface, causing it to grow in more quickly and appear “stubby” because it is blunter and darker. After shaving, some individuals report growing new hair the following day!

It takes a few weeks to observe regrowth after waxing because the root is removed. Razor burn or the chance of wounds in delicate places are not risks associated with waxing. Long-term shaving damages the skin, which could lead to an uneven skin tone (eg: underarm darkening).

WHAT ARE THE LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF A BRAZILIAN WAX?

The regrowth will be softer and finer after Brazilian waxing, which is one of the main advantages. Results might be observed following a waxing session. Dead skin cells can also be removed via waxing. Ingrown hairs are the only potential negative effect, although unless you are predisposed to them, they normally don’t bother most people.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HARD WAX?

Coarse hair can be removed effectively with hard wax. It becomes harder and sticks to the hairs rather than the skin, which makes it less abrasive to sensitive skin i.e., less swelling, less redness, and less hair breakage!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SOOTHING MASK?

On waxed skin, it immediately has a calming and cooling effect. Its antiseptic and antibacterial components lessen redness, irritation, and discomfort while preventing breakouts, rashes, and inflammation.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A BRAZILIAN WAXING SESSION?

Following are the process typically followed in a Brazilian Waxing session:

  1. The specialist will ask you to take off your underpants and lie down.
  2. The specialist will instruct you on where to position your legs and will then apply antiseptic lotion to the area requiring waxing.
  3. The specialist will then trim the hair (if required) and apply talc to the area to make sure the skin is completely dry.
  4. The specialist will apply a small layer of heated wax to each area one at a time with a spatula.
  5. The specialist will then remove the wax by holding the skin taut and pulling in one short sharp pull against the direction of hair growth.
  6. After completing the top of the pubic area, the specialist will continue on to the bottom (labias), and lastly the back (crack).
  7. If you didn’t choose to have all of the hair removed, the specialist will tweeze any stray hairs once the waxing is finished and may trim the remaining landing strip.
  8. The specialist will then cleanse the skin with a calming cleanser and spread soothing lotion over the waxed areas.

Waxing is finished! In about 30 minutes, you ought to be done!!

AFTERCARE TIPS

For 12 to 24 hours, avoid hot baths, tanning, swimming, deodorants, and abrasions (such wearing tight jeans).

Apply tea tree lotion as an antiseptic after waxing to prevent inflammation and rashes, and regularly to clean the pores to avoid ingrown hairs.

After 5-7 days of waxing, gently exfoliate the region to remove dead skin that might lead to buried hairs or ingrowns.

THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF

If you are using any oral skin medications or topical medications for the treated region, please let us know in advance. Some medications can make skin exceedingly thin and sensitive, making it more prone to lifting and irritation during waxing.

At least half an inch of hair length is required. After shaving, give your hair at least two weeks to grow. Before waxing, there is no need to trim or buzz. We will take care of all that if needed.
Towels & wet wipes are provided, therefore, you do not need to bring anything.

Please check to see that the area is clean and that your skin is in good shape. Avoid waxing if your skin is itchy or dry. In areas being treated with any topical retinoid medication, such as Retin-A or Differin, waxing should be avoided.

We may decline treatments for clients with the following condition:
– Sunburned, irritated skin
– After chemical peel/ microdermabrasion /laser (for face)
– Pregnant ladies during their first trimester
– During the menstrual cycle
